She likes to set goals, and then break them down into smaller action steps that can be completed in a day or so. By the time she gets done with all of her action steps, the goal is usually completed.
Another factor that she likes to point out is the fact that when people are in the process of purchasing a house, it can be a very stressful time for them. They are making one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives in a new environment, which is the perfect recipe for stress.
Tammy has a rule that she always follows. She treats all of her potential customers in the same manner as she would want to be treated herself. People know when they are being treated with courtesy and respect, and they respond to that. Tammy is very helpful with information that people want to know such as the best school districts, shopping, and access to transportation and so forth.
Tammy says that staying organized is a big plus in any selling situation but even more so with real estate because there are so many moving parts. Everything from the initial contact has to be kept track of, and having a good software program is invaluable for that purpose.
